Goutte d’eau Deutschland

Goutte d’Eau (Deutschland) e.V. was founded as a non-profit organization in 2003. The impetus for its creation was the publication of the article “The Sold Children of Poipet” [link] on the work done by the Swiss foundation Goutte d’eau (GEcsn) to protect Cambodian children and young adults trafficked to Thailand and exploited as labor slaves, street beggars, and in prostitution. Since 1997, GEcsn has been offering care, psychological support, and education to the victims of human traffickers who are often arrested by the Thai police and sent back to Cambodia.

To give these children and young people a chance at a dignified life we have been working on a voluntary basis for more than 20 years trying to find donors and sponsors to support their cause. One of our projects is a documentary published in 2004/2005 about the suffering of children and young adults entitled “Children’s Fates” [link] which is unfortunately still relevant today.

Donations to Goutte d’Eau (Deutschland) e.V. are tax deductible – it is registered with the Register of Associations, at the Münich District Court, number VR: 17569, and it is recognized as a non-profit organization according to the notice of the Munich Tax Office for Corporations of 10.12.2024, tax number 143/216/50059.
